“nusantara scholarship festival”

to commemorate the national heroes day and the anniversary of the 

regional representative council (dpd)

introduction

the nusantara scholarship festival is the first educational exhibition that is co-facilitated by the 

indonesian regional representative council (dpd), and the consortium of the indonesian 

lecturers association (adi) and the indonesian rectors’ forum (fri). dpd as a high state 

institution in the indonesian constitutional system, whose members are elected representatives 

of all provinces in indonesia through the general election, expects the event to be attended by 

students from all over indonesia who are interested in pursuing higher education through 

scholarship programs both from local and international institutions.

the festival involves a strong synergy between the government, scholarship institutions, 

community organizations, universities, and the general public to continue supporting the 

development of scholarships and its equal distribution in 34 provinces in indonesia with the 

goal to help enhancing sustainable development and reach “golden generation” in 2045.

“the festival is expected to be held annually and become the largest one in 

indonesia, featuring participants from various institutions and universities 

that provide scholarship programs overseas as well as leading universities 

in indonesia”

the festival aims to be a one-stop destination for prospective indonesian students to obtain 

information about higher education and scholarships programs at all levels. the event should 

not only be seen as an exhibition, but also as scholarship application process mentoring through 

various workshop sessions.

“the festival also serves as an avenue for both local and international 

institutions to offer scholarship programs, promote cultural and language 

exchanges that will surely attract hundreds of thousands of prospective 

students to apply for scholarships in this event.

specific target audience/participants of this event are teachers, lecturers and youth from 

different regions in indonesia, with the hope that scholarship programs contributes to the 

sustainable development of human resources in indonesia.
